goodbye LJ, hello blogger

I had a good run with livejournal...but I think it's time to consolidate to a place where blog and email co-exist.

About me? I'm an editor by trade and a writer by soul who currently resides in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband-to-be, Ian and their two cats Miles and Oliver. We're planning for a November wedding and are getting ready for all that that next stage of life entails. 

I'm hoping that I use this blog more often than livejournal as a place to actually write about things that are happening in my life and in my city (I work in Washington, DC). I'm also hoping to catch up with old friends.
